So by some whim of fate you found your way to this blog. Now, undoubtedly, you’re asking yourself: “why am I wasting my time here?” While that is an excellent question, I doubt I’ll have must in the form of an answer. Instead, I’ll tell you a little bit about me and why this blog exists.

Some important info:

• Much like Superman, you will never know my true identity. I don’t plan on posting anything too inflammatory on this site, but you never know what might get you into trouble some day. So to all of you, I will be known as Anonymous Prof or AP. If you somehow figure out who I am, please don’t tell…it’s a secret.
• While the title of this blog seems to suggest that I am a professor, I am, in fact, only a grad student. I do teach courses and my students do call me Professor, but technically speaking, for at least 2 more years, I am lowly grad student. I do plan to persue a career in academia. So one of these days this blog will be aptly named (that’s known as foresight kids).
• I am currently getting my PhD in Marketing (Consumer Behavior, not Quant…that’s just evil) at a large university somewhere in the US of A. We’ll call it Large-U.

Now that you know a little about me, you might be thinking: “oh now I know that I’m wasting my time.” But wait, there’s more! Supplies are limited, operators are standing by. Sorry about that.

So what the hell is this blog going to be about? Lot’s of things and nothing, all at the same time. Did I just blow your mind? I think I did. Seriously though, I’ll write about my personal affairs a bit, about things that interest me in the world (politics, science, culture, etc…), and even try to post a few funnies now and again (Knock knock…who’s there…interrupting cow…interrupting co…MOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO. Oh that never gets old).

If nothing else, I hope you find what you like here. If not, the wonders of the internet await you.
